07. What advantage does the 77 have?
I was a kid back in 77 so I never looked. Did they have that God awful twin I beam suspension? If so you couldn't give me one.

It's not so bloody sissy.
But if I'm being forced into a truck, it might as well have a 10k tow rating and heated leather seats. For everything else, a little hatch/wagon would work just fine for me.

Then I suggest getting a little hatch/wagon. ;)

It does have the footwell vents that you could kick open with your foot. I always liked those. :(
2007 for me too.

Quick question: how often do you tow 10,000 lbs?
Do you even have anything towable that weighs 10,000 lbs?
Do you plan on getting anything that weighs 10,000 lbs?
No?
Then why do you care if it can tow that much?
As for the heated leather seats: you can get them and put them in, and still have 15 grand in change left over to spend how you want before you match the price of the '07.
Honestly, if people have to ask "why?" to the older vehicles, there's no good answer that will explain it to them.
Agreed on that front. Because it's cooler/better/more fun/etc.
