Looks pretty good for its age.  You going to patch up the rough spots?

Thanks! Most likely after the Winter I'll have the rough spots touched up!

Wow.  I'm a little jealous of people who have kept there cars for 200,000 miles never mind 300,000 miles and they still look so good.  How?  It snows a bit in Cincinnati and so they must also salt the roads.  Congrats!

Thanks!! The truck was kept in a garage when not in use. That helps a lot also! Because of that there's no paint fade either.

Thanks. Yes it is! They replaced the rear driveshaft and U Joints when it was traded in.

It has the 5.3 Vortec. Basically a LS1. I'm not sure if it's a LM7 or L59.

Gen III Vortec, way before AFM and other nonsense. Basically, the best engine.

I've made a few upgrades the past month or so. I had the tires (Not wheels like I say in the video  ) flipped around to the raised white side, Went LED on all the exterior and interior lighting, installed a tonneau cover and a new head unit.

Now that you upgrade the stereo, the next update better be a bunch of subs in the back!

True story. I borrowed my buddy's late '90s Silverado, and he had the driver's door card all busted up and the grab bar/armrest missing, so I went to the local huge scrapyard to find him a complete inner door assembly, thinking I should be able to find one the same colour. After a half hour searching among the wrecks, I realize I can't find a single Silverado. A few Fords and Dodges, but no Chevys or GMC's. Went to another wrecker and it was the same thing, not a Silverado to be found. I realized that they just aren't junked that often. I'm convinced the Silverado and Sierra are the most reliable vehicles on the road.

Welp Old Silver threw an engine code! #1 Knock Sensor is bad! I ordered 2 sensors and the wiring harness today. I'll pull it apart and replace them next weekend.

Do you want an entire gray leather interior?  Comes with the rest of the truck too.   :pee:

My truck used to be as clean as yours, but 3 years in NY changed that.

I ended up adding a 12" Sub under the rear seat!

UPDATE: Old Silver has been trouble free up till the week of Thanksgiving. The drivers window stopped working so I ended up replacing the whole window regulator. $28 and about an hour out of my day. Next the hose clip on one of the houses going in/out the Heater Core broke (Sprayed Coolant EVERYWHERE). The part was only $7 and went on in 2 minutes so I was happy with that! Then the passenger side Wheel Bearing failed! I sent it to the shop for that repair because I thought the axle was screwed also. plus it was cold and I didn't wanna fight with it. That one cost me $300 even.

For a 20 year old truck with 300 plus thousand miles, that's not too bad regarding repairs.

I'm amazed at how nice that truck looks with over 300 thousand miles.  I don't remember if you live where they salt the roads as well.

Great looking truck.  Those vinyl/rubber strips over the wheel arches make a big difference.

Yes we do have salt treated roads here in Cleveland. I do keep it washed in the winter months as best as I can.

Thanks! I think it looks more rugged with those installed.
