Title: Where to go for interior leather repair?
Post by: Laconian on March 28, 2022, 07:26:42 PM
One of the leather inserts in our Outback is getting pretty tattered. I tried, and failed, to repair it. Now it's kind of ripping all over the place. I'd like to have a leather patch glued on - any suggestions as to where I'd do it? Any keywords I should look for on Craigslist? It'd be nice to have some mobile service guy take care of it, a la paintless dent repair.

I mean, I know a guy in Detroit...

Honestly,
your best bet might be finding another seat in a junkyard.

Another seat? Aside from this rip, the rest of the seat is pretty perfect - the Outback only has 50k miles, after all.

Ah, I found a place. This phallus car profile really gets around, lol.

Yeah; another seat from a junkyard will probably only cost $75-100, but you'd have to find the right one.

I think you can get an OEM replacement cover for <$300?
