Title: Went to the Automotive museum yesterday.
Post by: shp4man on February 02, 2015, 12:16:38 PM
They have a nice collection of cars, bikes and motorcycles there. I was fortunate that the owner of a 1930 Cord(straight 8, front wheel drive) was there. The old dude let me go past the barrier to check out the car. Took him 32 years! to restore it.

They had all the ideas back then - front wheel drive - independent suspensions etc. but it took another three decades before they went mainstream.

(I would love to hear the sound that engine makes.)

Not a Cord but, likely, sounds as good...

Duesenburg start up straight 8 sounds good. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxdZRVg2diE#)

Awesome - sounds aircraft engine-ish. (If that had been on the Velocity Channel they would have overdubbed that with a crap stock music track)
