I'll be gone in a few, so I'm PMing Dave and ifcar now. I'm instructing them to give clues as necessary. Don't worry, I won't complain about giving it up like some people with S2000s in their sigs.

does import mean japanese cars or all foreign cars?
Quotedoes import mean japanese cars or all foreign cars?
If you have to ask what it means for something to be imported, you don't deserve to know.
Quotedoes import mean japanese cars or all foreign cars?
I cant answer that just yet. On page three there will be another hint.

Let's take this one step at a time: what does "import" mean? Look in any dictionary, and see if Japan is mentioned other than in an example.
is it a sonata or not?
Not.

it's the successor to the XG 350. i just call it a name change, so i think it's in it's second generation.

I mean the part seems obvious, I could tell that before I got the PM.
Ummmm........(shot in the dark)....Altezza....probably already been guessed...
QuoteUmmmm........(shot in the dark)....Altezza....probably already been guessed...
No.
Forgive me if this has been guessed: Acura TL
Not a TL.
QuoteNot a TL.
I guess not since the TL is in its 3rd gen.
Mercedes SLK
Lexus IS.
I need an answer so that I can give the right guess (95% sure I have it).
Tim, I'm pretty sure you're wrong. The SLK350 has oval tailpipes, and the SLK55 has quad exhaust.
QuoteTim, I'm pretty sure you're wrong. The SLK350 has oval tailpipes, and the SLK55 has quad exhaust.
I know that is wrong, I have another guess that I am pretty sure is right but I can't post it until my other one is answered.

Same here.
Then I guess I will have to really stay on top of this thread and give my guess as soon as the other one is answered.

I don't know what you're thinking, but I think you think you're more sure than I am, so I don't know.
Well now I am not quite so sure that I have it.
Where's my answer?
Not an SLK. The IS is still in its first generation, at least for a few more months.
Okay, to be technical.
Lexus GS?
Volvo S40
Not a GS, not an S40.
Volvo S60
Lexus LS430
The S60 is first-generation.
Not an LS430 either.
Really? I thought I had that...
Acura RL
QuoteThe S60 is first-generation.
Sort of, there was a S70.
Audi A8
Nevermind, that was a tuned car...

I specifically included in that hint that there was no name change.
Another hint: It's a sub-$30K vehicle.
QuoteSquare pipes on A8.

Must have missed that. Audi A4.
Not an A4.
I realized I was looking at a tuned car...I edited the post.
Subaru Legacy 2.5GT
Looks like this thread will break my 154-post GTCC record. Congrats in advance, mazda6er!
The Legacy isn't second-generation.
If this is it I am going to cry foul because it isn't really in its 2nd gen: Acura RSX
It's not an RSX anyway.
And no one complained too much when you used a Canadian-spec Neon. <_<
QuoteAnd no one complained too much when you used a Canadian-spec Neon. <_<
That is because I didn't realize that it was Canadian, but anyone on this forum would know that calling the current RSX a 2nd gen car is a big stretch.
The RSX is a second gen Integra, so it is technically second gen (it's still an Integra overseas).
Saab 9-3?
It's nothing that technical, it's not a trick hint.
Not a 9-3.
QuoteQuoteAnd no one complained too much when you used a Canadian-spec Neon. <_<

I know, and I was kidding. Calm down. ;)
for something completely different: Mazda MPV
Not an MPV.
Mercedes C-class
Not sub-$30K except in its base-est base forms. This car can't be optioned to above $30K.
^Clarification: that's an adendum to the previous hint, not something that was just expected to be understood.
QuoteNot sub-$30K except in its base-est base forms. This car can't be optioned to above $30K.
Okay, then it must be Korean.
Impreza?

Only Korean cars can be fully loaded under $30K sticker?

No, I have guessed every Japanese and european car that at all resembles the picture and meets the qualifications that the hints provided. Hyundai Tiburon.
Tib it is. Congrats!
