It was unveiled at the LA auto show last winter.

This is the first time I have seen pics of the new Sedona. Anyway, the front looks good, the rear taillights are too big, and the interior is great (obviously I haven't been in it yet, but it looks class leading imho).

I think the front taillights are too big, myself. The rear headlights are nice, though.

I don't like the front all that much, but it's not ugly. The rear looks good, but those tail lights look really similar to the ones on the Tundra Double Cab. Interior looks great. With the Odyessy and Sienna, I don't think it is, or will be, class leading, but it should be competitive.

I can see where you're coming from there, but they also resemble the Kia Spectra5 lights, which makes more sense.

Don't care for either interior design, they just look awkward, this van's doesn't.

I'm not sure how you can say the Sienna's interior looks awkward if you like the Sedona.

Sienna-

Odyessy-

Maybe the Odyessy, but the Sienna and the Sedona look similar, I think.

My problem is with the way the wood trim is shaped around the center stack, too "space agey" imho.

In person, it looks anything but "space-agey."

I have seen it in person and I still think it is an awkward design.

I suppose it's a matter of taste then.

I am interested in seeing the new Sedona interior in person myself BTW, as the current one looks good in pics, but the center stack looks far too wide in person.

It looks too wide in pics also imho:

But it doesn't come off as looking bad for being wide in pics. It does in person.

I can see the similarity in the front clip, but that is it. It looks more like the last gen Quest.

Edit- just checked the pics again, now I don't see any similarities.

Quite a lot, yes. The body lines are almost exactly the same. A few of the details are different, but the similarities are so blatant it's funny.

How much different can you make two minivans look anyway?

I'm not the only one who sees Quest/Villager in it, that's good.

93JC, any similarities you note are probably those shared between all minivans anyway. I'm not seeing anything.

Other than a similar, and not uncommon rear bumper shape, and the basic minvan shape, I really don't see any similarities between the Odyssey and the new Sedona.

Ehhh who cares how fast or slow the car is, it's still fun to choose your own gears.  And besides, my mom always wanted to be a race car driver...this would be perfect for her!  :P  (I'm serious)

I noticed that as well. The Exterior is clearly inspired by the Honda, the interior by the Toyota.

yeah, but that was the whole deal. RWD, manual, and good handling. i don't see the point of having a manumatic in a comfy minivan.

Beats the hell out of a regular auto.  Once, I stuck it in D to save gas (I upshift later and hold gears longer than the auto does) and I accidently shoved the gear lever into neutral.  Old habits...

I dunno what the point is, but if my mom had this car I'd want to drive here everywhere she goes, regardless of shift speed or acceleration of the car...it would still be shifting your own gears which is fun.

WHen I saw the concept in the C/D magazine, I thought "I hope this doesn't go into production"

I think the interior is nice FOR A KIA but the exterior is... Could I say funky??? The center console looks a little Fordish but that's nothing bad. I'd say it's alright, but being the awful person I am, it's still a Kia. ^_^

It doesn't look strange from the outside, just bland. And bland is preferable to the ugly route that Honda took with its van.

And you think the interior looks like it's from a Ford? I don't see where you got that from, which model are you talking about?.
