Not sure about the statues, but the script on the wall behind them looks like it could be Persian.

I see the same symbol that's carved along the bottom of the wall. Looks like a bird, or something. Either way, it's a single image repeated over and over.

The paradox was identified in the first two guesses. It looks like Easter Island meets Lawrence of Arabia. :lol: The site is in South America.
