It's supposed to replace all the rickshaws and 3-wheel trucks that are currently on the streets of India. Power comes from an 11HP, 683cc diesel engine. It actually manages to seat five and propel the car up to a maximum 34MPH.
I think it serves it's purpose well. I like it's kinda cute and shapely stature.

No. It's not cute. It's hideous.

Well obviously, given it's small stature and low cost, I think it looks rather well polished.
It's not going to be a freaking Veyron.
It looks really front-heavy, like it would tip forward if you did a panic stop @ top speed.
How many people can you pile into it?

34MPH?
I don't think it looks worse than any other Kei Van.

Tata is claiming five. But I only think two real people can have that rear bench.
It looks like someone took a '65 Ford Econoline van, shrunk it and then beat it with an ugly stick. It looks like some sort of an insect.
I'd guess 14.
Holy crap, that thing looks like it's about sneeze.
I liked the original magic, i wonder why they had to go mess it up.

believe me, that rear bench will seat at least 4 people.

It looks like it has half the wheelbase, twice the front-overhang, and none of the rear-overhang of that van.

...plus 4 goats and, at least, half a dozen chickens ;).
This thing is rear engined though, if that makes a difference.

Is it true that the Magic has OPTIONAL suspension?

No. At least, I hope not...
pretty sure it comes standard with suspension, considering it's based on a mini pick-up.
683cc and they only squeezed 11HP out of it? Christ, push-mowers have smaller engines and can crank out twice that and they're not trying to move vehicles.

It's a diesel.
Ah.
Well, how many torques does it have?

With 11 hp, I wonder how well it will be able to move five people, and inevitably, the five people sitting on their laps and hanging off the roof.

Scooters with half the HP seem to do fine.

Go to India. You won't need any more speed than what this thing will provide.

11 horsepower is a lot better than 1 manpower.

Speaking of rickshaws - there's an Indian movie called "Amal" which is about a rickshaw driver. It was quite good (if you like international movies)!
It's utterly hilarious. They'll sell billions, and I have a very strange desire to thrash the living suitcase out of one whilst attempting to pass a elderly gent on his motorised scootambulator.

It is a requirement to play this at full volume while do so:
