toyota looks better, pontiac is probably cheaper...
pontaic, cuz it looks less like a douche mobile, and more like a grand am fucked a montana
IMHO the Vibe looks better.
Vibe.
Walk.
Toyota
I like the Vibe/Matrix. It seems to be a fun little practical hot hatch.
Rodeo
I owned a Matrix for a few years. So I'll take the Vibe.
Ugh, I really dislike both of these cars. But the Vibe is better looking IMO, so I'll go with that.
Vibe.
The engine was a terrible fit in those cars, since the poorly spaced gear ratios caused it to bog on every upshift.
I drove both of these...... they were equally noisy. Unacceptably noisy.
I'll have a Kia Soul, please, instead.

When? These models came out in 2004, and the 2ZZ option didn't last that long in either car.

Seriously?
Matrix XR - in bright yellow - rented in August 2004, from LAX.
Vibe rented in Sept 2006, from JFK.

You could keep it from bogging by twisting the tach up to 9000 before every shift. You just have to make sure you have a towel to wipe up the blood coming from your ears.

Those likely had different engines. (1ZZ)

yeah, this was one that I test drove where the smaller engine was a better fit. But the GT looked better.
And I like the Vibe's looks way better than the Matrix.
Vibe easy. It actually looks really good in the picture you found.
Vibe. It's cheaper. They both look like crap, so it's a wash there.
matrix.. vibe give me aztek flashbacks
Why did Toyota sell the Vibe in Japan but not the Matrix?
Vibe was made in California, therefore it was much easier to ship to Japan than Matrix made in Eastern Canada?

Weren't both made at NUMMI?
No. The Vibe was made at NUMMI; the Matrix was made at the Toyota plant in Cambridge, Ontario.
Matrix = Best movie ever, so Matrix for me.

Well, they're both Toyotas, so that distinction is probably out. ;)
Yep, identical pedals.
Well I went Toyota because the company is still around.
Do they drive differently?
