Apparently 700 is the new 600, and claiming sub three seconds to 60mph is like claiming Scarlet Johansson's back door.
0-60 is a dated metric. Curious to see what it needs to do 0-100.
Shape looks impossibly low. Def a design worthy of the Lambo brand.
Interior looks a little bland though. Maybe an off-white 80s treatment would spice it up

Well, I have plenty of experience with a real stick and a DSG gearbox. I'm walking away with a stick every time.

Do you have experience with cars even near as fast as this?
I'll take flappy paddles if it's a good setup.
The exterior is teh sex. The interior (barring the gauges) is bland.
I don't know how to feel about the lack of a stick. It makes me sad that automakers keep moving away from manuals, but I think in a car as fast as that, I wouldn't have time to think about shifting.
Although, when not driving balls to the wall (which would be 95% of the time), a manual would make the car more enjoyable, IMO.
I think you guys should drive something like a Ferrari 458 before counting out the semi auto. Just cause an auto would sap what little fun you're able to extract from your daily drivers completely doesn't mean they will do the same for a 700HP supercar. Call me crazy but in cars that can do 100 in less time than most people's cars here can do 60, I think it's smart to enable drivers to focus on the road rather than shifting. Not to mention the removal of user error in drivetrain damage. Get over it.

Of course not.
This is my new favorite car. It makes me feel like the Countach did when I was a lad.
Oh come on, does it really surprise you that it doesn't have a stick at this point? Every single car in that class has a DCT, you think Lamborghini's suddenly going to say "OH?! We should offer a stick, because there's demand from buyers of used NA Miatas!"
I'd want a proper manual just as badly as any of you would, but those days are gone, in this class. Expecting this to be different is a bit of a head-scratcher, IMO.

If I'm trying to beat the lap record on the Nurburgring, then yeah... semi-auto is the way to go. For the other 99.99993% of the time, like when I'm blasting down a winding public road, manual stick everytime, please.
I don't know. I used to be a "Manual or die" kind of guy, but not so much anymore. As long as it is a god paddle setup and responds fast enough, then I think I might actually prefer the paddles.

You just said exactly what I said, that a paddle shifter might be better when you're going balls to the wall. However in everyday cruising you can't say that a paddle shifter is more fun than a manual, and everyday cruising is what these cars are going to be used for most of the time. In fact most of these cars will never be driven all out on a track, so why the hell wouldn't you want to increase driving enjoyment the rest of the time and give it a stick?
The fact that these cars are being bought by people who can't drive a manual is more the reason why there's no more manual option.
Overall I like it, however just like the other Audi era Lamborghinis some of the buttons on the center console are to obviously ripped from the Audi parts bin. At that price they should do better.

In everyday driving who gives a shit? Putt putting around town I don't care what the transmission is, and in any case the sense of occassion from she sights, sounds and smells of something like this would make me forget about that 3rd pedal. Going at 4-6/10ths down a windy road, again, rather focus on where I'm going than mastering a rev match downshift. If you're gonna buy a Lambo to drive it like a Miata just keep the $300K and drive the Miata.
And if I had the $$$ for somethign like this I would definitely track it regularly.
Don't get me wrong, for certain my next car will be stickshift. For a car for mere mortals it just makes sense. Autos have got better but they're not better than a good stickshift for something like a 3 series. But for something literally twice as fast, I don't think it's a blow to one's manhood to let computers provide a little help. The value of putting such performance of the road is def something worth talking about, but while it's available its silly to let one's ego come in the way of sense.

That rear-3/4 view is what I dislike about Lambos. It just looks cluttered, confused, and random. It looks pretty damn good in the other angle shots, but it looks like such a jumble of triangles and lines and shapes and pieces that just make a chaotic looking...thing.
It is a bit cluttered, but I bet it's less of an issue in real life. I mean the whole car prob comes up to your waist at its highest point.

Um, I give a shit about manuals in everyday driving. It gives me something to do. I still get a sense of satisfaction from a crisp, clean up or downshift, or quickly shifting when accelerating away from a stoplight. Little things like that actually matter and add a great deal to the driving experience for me.

Aventador was the name of a famous fighting bull from the early 90s.

If I lived on a track, I'd be impressed by track technology on road cars. Until then, the Lotus Elise remains the ultimate car.

The Lotus Elise will prove to be more fun on the track than the Aventador would be. The Aventador would be fun to show off and pick up chick with.

I "wonder" which of the two will be more fun to drive on the road
