The next Outlander shares the Mitsubishi stage at Tokyo, and with the restyled, re-engineered crossover, Mitsu hopes to take on the likes of the CR-V and Escape with more success than the previous edition. The new Outlander, Mitsu says, gets its power from a 2.4-liter 16-valve four coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The five-seat Outlander - with seats for two more in a pinch, according to a release - has a refined new body style and a refined all-wheel-drive system with integrated stability control. A 250-hp V-6 is expected to be among the options for the new vehicle, which goes on sale in Japan next month and in the U.S., in 2006.

Looks clean and simple. Doesn't stand out it terms of looks. Since that seems to be what most people look for, I'd say it has a decent chance of doing well, better that the current one at least.

The front has some 9-7x in it. Interesting.

The vehicle in the recent spy shots didn't have the mirror. I don't think we'll be getting it.

I don't know. It was just an impression it made, for some reason. Headlights, maybe?  :blink: No idea, really :ph34r:

The headlights do look rather similar to the 06 Impreza's.
