If you take an SLR, add 5kg of gold, plus 600 Rubies you end up with this monstrosity.

The Swiss tuner sold it to some clown in Qatar. How is it possible to have such poor taste? :banghead:
That end of the world has some rather odd tastes.
Here's a shiny Audi.
Really shiny. As in...very shiny.

Horrible.
Love it.
haha I always thought it would be teh coolest thing ever to have a totally chrome car.
--If I could afford to pay someone to clean it after every drive...
Isnt' that illegal in the States though? (too distracting at night probably, possibly sun-blinding people in the daytime too....)
Sweet. Ferrariguyforhire has some competition.

It just occurred to me that the Swiss tuner is just as equally tasteless to have created such a car. IIRC, I've seen some odd creations on Top Gear from a Swiss tuner. Likely the same outfit.
I'm sure its super expensive, but it just looks cheap and tacky.
It looks like it belongs to the CEO of McDonald's.
Never knew it was possible to make such an expensive car look so cheap.
Hot.
"I'M LOVIN IT."

As soon as I saw it I thought "Dubai". Looks like I wasn't far off, though I am quite disgusted that a Swiss would agree to make such an atrocity.

I have seen that Audi at night, it's not distracting at all. Not sure if I have seen driven during the day though.
BTW, the time of chroming the cars has come and go, now 99% of those "chrome" or "gold" cars are just wrapped in foil.
I think US based ricers have promising careers as bespoke auto customization engineers for the Middle East.
Yet more proof that money doesn't buy taste.
I kind of like the chrome car though.

Too much plastic and not enough precious metals/minerals being used by US ricers.

FWIW, they could tack on 600 rubies and 11 lbs of gold onto a bright red Honda Civic, and it wouldn't be any worse than what this poor SLR has become.
Such a travesty that so much money was thrown at something that turned out so hideous. I'm not one to tell people what to do with their money, but what a waste.

? 8 million..... Apparently the golden frame for the rear lights alone cost ? 15,000 a piece.

To make maters worse, the car is probably a lot slower and turns like shit now too.
Been there...Done that! :mask:

Maybe the Qatari Fire Chief needed a new car.

Far out, man! Groovy! Outta sight!
I like this because it ensures the money of idiots ends up in someone else's hands.
