No. Mercedes is already placing the 5.4 in the facelifted E-class. So unless the picture represents a diesel, or some other engine...It's most likely a mistake.

The W221 S-Class in Europe is badged as "S500" while in America, the same car is badged as the "S550". Probably the same deal with the E-Class. It's a marketing thing. ;)

Compare it to Sax's A6. Putting my ruler up to the screen, the A6, from roof to sill is 40mm, with roof to bottom edge of glass being 14mm - the greenhouse portion is 35% of the body height.
The new E class has a 55mm roof-sill measurement, with 16mm from roof to bottom edge of glass, which works out to 29% of body height.
Looks nice but I bet it comes at the expense of very little headroom.

i hear what you are saying and agree. however, i doubt 'benz would settle for less head room for it's best selling car. it'll be interesting to see what happens, eh?!
I think the windows should be just a tad bigger. It looks a little unproportional, although the rear shouldn't be changed at all.

I also cant wait for the new c class, if there is something that merecedes ALMOST never dissapoint in, it is definately the design. Plus I think benz is stepping up their game again, and soon should become the benz we all knew way back. oh ya definately, even though I must say the lights are kind of GS'ish but more slanted, still looks good though, the GS is definately one of the only and first cars I like from Loyota, so that doesnt bother me much that the lights look the same.
Also Im not sure if you guys noticed, but if you look at the front view of the car and look into the window, you will notice that the center console bulges in the middle almost as much as the drivers console (dunno what its exactly called but im talking about where the speedometer and all that good stuff is) so my point is that it might resemble the S classe and they will most likely move the navigation screen upwards just like the S

It was apparently driven by a dwarf blond - either that or the high beltline and short windows really may be an aesthetic triumph but a functional detriment. That E-Class looks good in every way but the headlights. The four lights just do not work well with the rest of the design.

This wasn't a 13 yr old. Looked like a slightly wealthy 50-something yr old with faux blond hair and a face pulled so tight by plastic surgery, every time she blinked she would fart! :blink: Sure didn't look deserving to be cruising in such a fine ride!

The CLS is a bit short on headroom in the back, especially for 6 footers and above, although I did find that I had enough legroom, even with the forward seats pushed back a bit. The only real annoying thing was bumping my head unto the ceiling. A haircut helps, but not by much. :P
