I'm a big admirer of the 1970s Lincoln Continentals. They just look so classy, elegant and their size is menacing. But Lincoln never really made a sedan out of these using the coupe body style. No fear, Wimmer did. :praise:

Here's the original image (in low size and quality).

Fixing the background for the longer image (sedan body style is longer than a coupe) was a nightmare. Thank God for the clone tool, but still...
Hope you like it.
Damn dude, good chop, but could you imagine how long that thing would be? The two-door was already over 20 ft. to begin with. :mask:

Hey, gas was cheap back then, so who cared?
LOL, thanks man. Started working on this the beginning of September too. Every night or so, I'd spend a few minutes patching things up here and there and gradually finishing it. :praise:
Dear Lord, I want one. Quilted velour interior and wood panelling, here I come!

Good chop, though.

If by classy and elegant you mean boxy and hideous, then I agree with you.
That's PIMP!
Is that the car in Starksy and Hutch?

That's a Ford Torino, I think.
Looks like a limo
I want to drive one of these to see just how bad they are.

Haha :P
Nope, I really love these boxy '70s designs. They're so pimpish and just ooze with style and sexiness IMO. A lot of people claim American cars from the 1970s were ugly: I disagree. :praise:

Nope, they used a Ford Torino with red and white stripes.

Hey, if you ever spot one of these old Lincoln's on the road, I'd love to see some pics. 1970s Lincolns rock.
My dad had a 72 coupe just like in your picture, except it was white with a white toneau top. He bouight it in 72 and sold it in 73 because it was so big. He bought a 911 the day after he sold the Lincoln.
That is pimp....I want one!
