A Mercury M600? Mid/full size sedan, had the buick-style portholes...
 Never heard of it... however I'm sure that ChrisV or Oilfilter will be able to give you insane details.
It's brand-spankin' new. Some type of Montego/Milan perhaps?
Never heard of it. Maybe it's a mule?
Back in the day it was a big-ass pickup truck in Canada.
???

Big-ass? I thought all the M-series trucks were pretty much just rebadged F-series?
Oh, and there was also a concept car, the XM-800

Hm, this is odd. NOthing on the Mercury website either.
 Nor on Google Images.
Well with it possibly being full-size,Grand Marquis replacement?

Why would they have a mule driving around Rhode Island?

They got lost?

They got lost?
Well, if that's the case, I can understand why they chose to hand out. :praise:
Mules don't usually have the badges on, or at least not on and uncovered. You probably saw someone's personal project. Did it look anything like the Montego or Milan?

Yeah, and the F-600 was a big-ass medium-duty truck too.
You live in Rhode Island? Ever seen Peter Griffin's red station wagon driving into something?

Yeah, and the F-600 was a big-ass medium-duty truck too.
But I don't think there was ever an F-600 during that time (didn't the Merc trucks disappear by the mid '60s?)
All I seem to remember was M-1, M-2, and M-3.
The Merc trucks ended production around '67 to '69. Somewhere in there.
When they started production Ford Canada trucks didn't follow the F-1, F-2, F-3, F-4 naming scheme, instead going with numerals that indicated GVWR. We had the F-47, F-68, F-105, F-135, F-155, F-190 and F-215: F-47 had a GVWR of 4700 lbs, F-68 had a GWVR of 6800 lbs and so on.
In the early fifties they changed it to F-1, F-3, F-4, F-5, F-6, F-7 and F-8, and in '53 it changed to F-100, F-250, F-350, F-500, F-600, F-700, F-800 and F-900.
The 500-to-900 trucks were medium-duty trucks. Here's a link to a classified ad for a '65 F-600: http://www.hoobly.com/0/0/330224.html

The M-600 looked roughly the same, 'cept it said Mercury on it instead of Ford.
I dont think thats what I saw
What did it look like?
More details necessary.
Yup. I personally think it was a mule and nothing more  ... or rice.
An unannounced, undisguised mule with the badging showing doesn't make sense.

Then it could be rice. Sort of like if I took my Camry, put Scion badges on it and a badge labelling it as an sC.
