I shouldn't like it, but I do.

It's okay looking.

I like that angle quite a bit.

It shall be a fine family sedan.

I still believe that its rear end has the same problem as the IS and that the front end juts out too much, but I rather like it. It helps that the last Lancer was one of the ugliest cars ever built.

Its growing on me I think. Its not really my type of thing, though.

850CSi: Csidude; I do respect your statement that the last Lancer was the "ugliest vehicle ever built". However, The Intrepid here feels that despite looking quite boring, the status of "ugliest vehicle ever" should be given to further aesthetically challenged vehicles such as the Fiat Multipla or the Pontiac Aztek.

Trep, when did you turn into the Nethead?

Also, I'm not a huge fan of the exposed bumper beam.  It looks cheap.

Looks like a most excellent car.  Very faithful to the concept.

Wonder how much the payments will be after the Fiat is traded in?

Hence my use of the words "one of".

X1000

I really like this Evo, and I think they did a great job of retaining the feel of what was most exciting about the concept.

Much better than Audi with the R8, or even Pontiac with the Solstice.

I thought the R8 and Solstice were almost identical to the show cars.

Yeah but it wasn't even that.

It was BORING at worst, but not THAT ugly.

Hmm. I was having wet dreams over the R8 concept, but the production version just looks...boring. I can't say exactly what bugs me about it. Maybe I'll compare some pictures after I'm done with my paper.

On the Solstice they smoothed out a lot of curves. The bumps behind the seats, for example, were more exagerrated on the concept. I thought the front end looked much more aggresive as well.

I realize that design compromises much be reached before production, that's just the nature of the beast. And to be fair, I didn't spend as much time looking at the Concept X as I did the other two, but to me, it seems like Mitsu managed to capture the soul of their concept better than the other two companies.

Sadly, yes.

Nice looking car, sad that Subaru can't accomplish the same.

Like the new WRX, this car needs some help with the grille/front facsia of the car. I think that grey bumper with the two slits in it needs to be body colored and solid, that way it'd look way nicer. That looks like they tacked on a $5 strip of plastic (which is probably what they did anyways).
The rear end IS nicer than the WRX, but with some regular, non Altezza taillights, the WRX would look great too.

I actually think that's the best looking part of this car. :mask:

Too boy-racerish for me to ever own one, though I am sure it will be a heck of a performance machine.  I am hoping the new STi comes out looking like that PS in the other thread because I much prefer that to this.

I told the salesman at the mitsu dealer that the new lancer screams dodge to me(the nose, as pictured above).

After looking at new lancers(which the evo will be similar to), i'm positive that the IX is the better choice from a design standpoint.
