I like this one.

Very mysterious and it gives the supermarket lot a sort of "abandoned feel" to it. This image would look great with a bit more sharpness and perhaps a "grungy" effect to it.  ;)

Is this an abandoned mall?

Yep, the mall closed about a year or so ago. The only store still open is a Sears and Staples.

There's a depressing abandoned mall near me that was crowded out by the bigger malls to the north and south. Some chains don't allow more than one location within a given X mile radius. This one was caught in the middle.

It's depressing and everybody knows it. In fact, there are quite a few articles and photoblogs dedicated to it.

On Wikipedia, someone quoted an interview:

Q: Whatís your least favorite (place)?

"The Totem Lake Shopping Center in Kirkland, Washington. Itís the most depressing place Iíve ever been. I almost didnít make it out. I think it might be some kind of gateway to the netherworld."

America has the best locations. Period.

I love seeing photos of major cities with run-down areas, like Detroit. All those abandoned buildings etc. make such great locations for photoshoots!

Here, such an abandoned building would be torn down and they'd build some characterless supermarket or apartment on it.
