Diving photos and videos
« on: December 24, 2014, 12:45:20 pm »
I'll share a few of the diving videos we took on our most recent vacation.

Fuckin' manta rays the size of VW Beetle (the SI unit for large animals):

Thought it said driving photos, not diving. Was confused by giant sea monster.

Sweet video, though. What kind of camera did you use?

GoPro 4. Unfortunately the viewfinder is blocked by the wristmount so aiming is kind of a crapshoot.

Beautiful, but aren't they dangerous.  What was that last little blip.  It looked like one was right in your face.

Manta rays are totally harmless. Stingrays are the ones that can hurt you, and you basically have to be on top of them for them to jab you. Steve Irwin was hugging a stingray when he was killed.

Mantas have the largest brains among all fish. I got a sense that their spending so much us was done purely out of curiosity.
