1941 Hudson coupe.
« on: June 20, 2020, 09:28:21 am »
This vehicle ended up mixed in with the regular used cars. It's not original, looks like maybe an '80s style "hot rod" restoration. All the nasty velour upholstery is faded and torn, the two tone blue paint is flaking off, bondo is cracking. It has chipped and faded red steel wheels and white lettered oversize tires.  it's not pretty.
Instead of the original flathead 6, it's powered by a 73 or 74 model Chevy 454 smogger V8 with a turbo 400 auto trans.

I was looking at it the other day thinking how ugly it is, but then imagined satin black paint, 2 inches lower front and rear, wide whitewall tires, rear fender skirts and maybe a pinstriping job, accompanied by a few bolt on aftermarket speed parts for the 454 and a decent interior

Make it match ol' blue.

It already does. It's perfect.

Not the prettiest from that era, but it definitely matches "Old Blue."

How much do they want for it?

Maybe 6 or 7K US dollars.

If the chassis and frame are in good shape it might be worth it, as well as the drive train.  Lots of possibilities.
