Photo Competition
« on: January 02, 2007, 11:37:35 am »
As some of you may know, I love photography. Instead of just automotive photos. We should have a competition for other types of photos.
Rules are exactly the same.

Rules:
1. The entered picture must be taken by YOU and not just found on the net.
2. Only one photograph per person and per weekly contest allowed
3. You may NOT change your photograph once it has been entered.
4. You have 3 days to submit your photograph, a poll will be created after 3 days for people to vote in.
5. Your image must be a resolution of 1024 x 768 or lower. If it is not, your picture will not be in the voting thread.
6. Each photographer cannot vote for their own photo, they must vote for others
7. The picture should get submitted with: the subject matter, the date, and the type of camera.
8. Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, cropping, or anything else capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses are allowed to use in Photoshop or other image editing softwares. Other adjustments and effects are not allowed to use in your picture.

You may submit any type of photo. Whether it is macro, flora, landscape, portraits etc.  Do not submit a photo of a car however. The threads should not overlap.

He's just waiting for everybody to post up and get comfortable with their entries.  Then he is going to sneak one in at the end that is so awesome that your head will explode if you don't vote for it.

Hey, I submitted a car photo and was blown away.  I'm risking my reputation going up against you guys.

When I clicked the link to yer photo in the automotive one, I got this strange fuzzy thing. I don't think it was what it was supposed to be ;) .

God, I hope not. Especially since none of my other "work" has ever been posted, transferred, or linked to online.

(Besides, none of them are "fuzzy".....wax jobs, ya know.

The image you posted for the car thread was a black-and-white closeup of a fender. A very neat photo, but for car nuts you have to show the metal. ;)

Are you suggesting that auto enthusiasts have no sense of "art"?

The other thread is about cars at least as much as art, so the car is important. For this thread, even auto enthusiasts can turn off part of the brain.  ;)

Ah, I went back to see it. Cool photo, but it needs context!
