DB9. I'd like to know who the hell voted for the Sky and if they were drunk.

I'm going to buy a tube radio so we can huddle round it and, by the light of a single candle, listen to President Obama's fireside chats.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage. But I must admit that the Fort GT looks darn good.

JYODER240

The Aston Martins won't look as good in 20years as the Ford GT will.

Yes they will.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

TBR

For the most part the only cars that just scream sexy to me are from two brands: Aston and Jag. I voted for the DB9, obviously (the Vantage is more aggressive, but I like how the extra size of the DB9 lets the very similar lines be even more sensuous).

Yes they will.

No, they won't.  The Astons will age, the Ford has already stood the test of time.  The Ford is 40 years old.

No, they won't.? The Astons will age, the Ford has already stood the test of time.? The Ford is 40 years old.?
A beautiful car is a beautiful car. It's not like they will become ugly over night or something.  And a old DB5 is still a awesome looking car to this day. The new Astons will be no different.

I'm completely impressed with the Solstice.  It's easy to make a good looking car with 100K to spend, but with around 20K?  Every time I pass a Solstice with a passenger at my side, their heads turn.  When I tell them the car costs around 20K, they are amazed.

The new Astons have a classic sexy shape that will never age.  It's a timeless design that will look just as good 50 years from now as it does today.

The current Aston Martins don't have as good of porportions. Just like most new cars its beltline is to high. It works for now but that trend will hopefuly be out of style in 20years.

Besides that the GT and original GT40 probably have the best side profile (which is the most important angle IMO) of any car there is.

Beltline is too high?? I don't know about you, but I can barely see the chin on the driver of the GT you posted.? Besides, high beltlines have always been cool, and only losers don't like them. :ohyeah: ;)

Don't get me wrong, the GT is one of my favourite cars of all time and one of the sexiest, but the gaps in the body panels are big you could slide pencils through them, and that knocks it down a notch for me.

That is exactly why I chose it too. Everytime I see one, I stare. Its beautiful, and I have to remind myself its attainable.

I have to admit I do the same.  But the DB9 is just pure sex on wheels.

vanquish

i am an aston girl all the way, my personal favorites being the vanquish S and the new DBS although i realize that is not a production car yet. i have a special place in my heart for the GT though because in school i had an assignment where we modeled cars from scratch and then proceeded to draw them nothing short of 50 times (an exercise in proportion and perspective no doubt). the GT taught me a lot about drawing cars, not to mention it looks amazing on the road.

SVT666

Nice.  How come you never showed me that before?

vanquish

hehe just never occured to me. i have a computer rendered version as well but it is not nearly as good. i am working on a vanquish rendering now, but its been awhile since ive touched it... too busy with two jobs! ha. when i finish i will show you.
