I was hoping for a bit more straight line speed.  As is, I can't see why it commands such a high premium compared to say 335i coupe, except for the AWD.  I'm curious why the BMW 335i coupe is not available in AWD when there is a 335xi sedan and a 328xi coupe.

Its not a barn burner I guess, but 13.2 second 1/4 miles seems okay to me. Quicker than the previous M3, a a smidge quicker than the 335i.

Weight seems decent too. The S5 weighs about the same as a stock 335xi. The 335i coupe is about 200 lbs lighter, but that pretty much seems to be the difference between AWD and RWD. The real nice thing is that its actually a bit lighter than the S4, despite being a bit bigger and having a standard sunrof and bigger wheels (255/35R19 instead of 235/40R18).

The engine isn't changed much. ~350 HP instead of ~340 HP.

As for the style, everyone can make up their own mind. I think it looks great...the best in its class IMHO.

Yea. I was hoping for something that would look like an A4 coupe. It looks half-British, half-Japanese...
