Sorry, I like those. Clean customs are not Rice. That white 7 series is no more Rice than my own car.

Yeah I agree.

I did however see a riced out Mustang yesterday.  It was a 2008 GT with Altezza tail lights, dubs, a bunch of tacky bodykit shit and then S H E L B Y across the trunk lid.  I don't like it when people try to pass their cars off as something their not with actual badges.  If you want to make a clone, then go ahead, that's cool.  I've always wanted to build a 1996 Cobra R clone, but I would never put SVT or the snake anywhere on it.  That part is not cool.

Hehehe. Its not trying to look like an M7 race car. It's just a hot rod 7. The guys on the 7 boards have this argument all the time about putting an M or M7 badge on the back of a Sport model 7 series, as "there were no M7s." But since the Sport model had 5 discrete M badges on it from the factory, it's easy to understand why an owner would call the car an M7. So it's not really ricey. Now, a Kia Optima with M7 badges, that's rice.

But using ricey as a generic term for any customized car is simply getting ridiculous.

I agree. I hate all the SS clones and such. I have no problem with modifying a car and putting SS, SVT, or M stuff on it, but to then claim it's the real thing is dumb. Same with Factory Five Cobra kits. They're cool cars and I love them, but I just laugh when someone tries to say it's an original Cobra.

More rice (and some just plain crappy modifications) from Munich. It's alarming how many riced BMW 7-Series there are here.  :mask:

Wimmer, you can't call anything that doesn't look stock "rice".

That Dodge Neon for example, isn't rice. It probably was in an accident.

No, the one wimmer posted is pretty much mild rice.

Remember the Nissan 350Z?

Well, I spotted it again last night.  The owner was pulling out of Hooters (so you know he's a CLASSY guy  ;) ) but it was dark and he was on the move, so a photo was out of the question.  He's painted the bottom half of the doors black since the last time I've seen this car.  Obviously, this masterpiece is still a work in progress!

I know. But it still looked like crap. Also, notice the spoiler and those "hood modifications". Front underside bumper also looks modified.

Hood is tacky, but that's a stock spoiler (although the wrong color) and the bumper is stock.

As in it was involved in a collision or it's actual creation was just a giant mess?

Except for the fact that it isn't European and most of us can afford it, the Neon is not that big of a POS.

Weird, non-rice cars belong in the Spotted Today thread.  Save the Rice Thread for REAL rice.
