What's everybody's future plan for their car(s)?

I'm going to need new tires before the snow flies.  Or maybe just get a set of snows and steelies (or cheap alloys) and buy a set of all-seasons in the spring.  My current plan is to get a new car sometime next spring or summer, so I don't intend on putting any more money into this one than I have to.

The first thing I'm going to do when I get back is bring my car to the alignment shop JWC directed me to, and see if they can't fix the damn alignment on this thing.? If they can, then I'll do the following:

New windshield (current one is cracking) ~$200
Put the all season Kumhos on it, since the Bridgestones are worn out ~$40
New exhaust (Invidia or Borla.. I still need to hear the invidia, though) ~$800-900
Powdercoat my current wheels black (since they have some scrapes when the runflats were taken off) ~$200
Have new stock brake pads put on (they dust more, but I'll have black wheels anyway and they have initial bite than the current Hawk pads) ~$140
Have the ECU retuned with MTH software ~$400

If the alignment can't be fixed, then it's looking like new car time next summer

I'll be holding onto it until at least the spring of next year, at which point it will be 4 years old and the warranty will be up.  I still like the car, but it's nice to change things up.  If it turns out that there's nothing in my budget next year that I deem to be a better ride than what I've got now, I'll likely hold onto it another year and see what the '09 model year (and a larger budget) brings.

My future car plans include the dream of someday being able to start the cadillac without it spraying transmissio fluid all over my garage floor.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Aren't you trying to get another car?  Why spend the money to mod the Maxima?  You'd just lower the resale value for a car you won't keep long anyway

Yep, stopping is over rated.

Speaking of which, the brakes on the Toyota are SO damn touchy after driving the Intrepid and the minivan. Damn, why do Jap cars have such sensitive brakes?

I agree. :P
Anyways, I'm sure the stock brakes would do fine even with the extra speed of a supercharger. Or he can just get those Hawk pads and some stock replacement rotors.

My brakes aren't touchy.

edit: then again my brakes are Italian. My Accords were touchy though.

Doubt it. My '99 and '94 both had equally touchy brakes.

How can that be? I don't know much bought them ro-tarry engunes, that's true: but how can the alternator be 8-10 feet from the engine block?

it ties like 8 different points back to the battery... with all the plastics and stuff, getting a good ground is harder to do these days

Jeri's going to be getting new tires pretty soon.  And I'm considering new rims.  And I'm looking for an aftermarket LSD.

CJ's going back to track attacks pretty soon and I think I'm going to give her twin turbos for her 40th birthday.  Then I'll ask her what else she'd like.

Think I should go for these springs? I know someone else here has H&R springs on their Accord coupe but I can't remember who. Price seems good.
