(Super)Cars from London - Celebrity Special!

Here's a few pictures of some cars I saw in London yesterday.  I learned from the mistake I made last week when I didn't have my camera with me and saw an SLR.  It wasn't a bad day for seeing nice cars!

Ok, so this one doesn't really belong here, but always had a soft spot for these Bentleys.  Graceful cars.

Ferrari 360 Spider.

Saw this Lamborghini Gallardo Spider outside the London Hilton on Park Lane.  Not sure of the origin of the registration, but later on my way home I saw it being driven with the top down.

Things got better when I walked up the street to the Dorchester Hotel (where I saw my first Phantom Drophead that I posted in Luxury Talk a coupla weeks ago).  This time I got even more lucky:

Whoever owned the Maybach and the S-Class got outClassed!!

First time I've seen a Carrera GT (except for a Motorshow, but that doesn't really count).  But it was worth the wait.  Stunning car.  This example was reg'd in 2006.

The 599 actually looks a lot better in red than in the dark blue and silver colours I've previously seen it in.  Maybe because it was parked next to a CGT and I was quite excited!  Again, notice the foreign registration - another rich visitor to London.

Anyway, I was waiting for the bus home, and just when I didn't think things couldn't get any better, they did, when I spotted this bad boy on Park Lane.

When I saw it was turning into the Intercontinental Hotel, I had to go and see if I could get a closer look.  This was the first Enzo I'd seen on the road!  When I got to the forecourt, there was a group of photographers waiting outside, and the Enzo had just parked up.

Anyway, guess who steps out of the Enzo!

If you didn't recognise him, that's the singer Rod Stewart.  I don't know if he is well known in America   I managed to get a few close ups of his Enzo before it was put away in the underground car park.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

HA! While the paparazzi is busy taking shots of Stewart you hang back to get pictures of his car. LOVE IT!

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

Somehow seems more fitting on a Saxo than on an Enzo.

Anyways, yeah, we know who Rod Stewart is...

Well, those of us over 30 do.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I actually kinda like Rod Stewart's music.  Awesome pics!

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

Cool pics. I've still yet to see an Enzo or a Veyron on the road.

That foreign registration on the 599 and the Gallardo is Arabic.

Yes it is Arabic. Both are Saudi Arabian plates.

Rod Stewart is cool. I like some of his earlier songs, especially Baby Jane, Rhythm of my Heart, Young Turks and stuff like that.

I'd hate to need to call the police in on that plate. "It's a rotary symbol with lot's of squiggly worms behind it. Then a shovel , light pole and a baby crib under to stars!"

Thanks for the comments.  Of course, no way I was going to waste time following Rod Stewart into the hotel lobby when there was an Enzo parked right next to me!

By the way, meant to ask.  Which would you guys take?  An Enzo or a Carrera GT?

There's a really obvious joke here about German music taste that I won't go to the trouble of mentioning.

Great shots! My parents were out while I was working (college kid needs money) and what do they see? An Enzo. Not too many of those in Wisconsin.

It's funny, I had never seen one on the road and then I see two in two weeks!  You just have to be in the right place at the right time.  And being in London helps!

I just spoke to a friend who saw three SLRs in one day last week, so I'm heading to Knightsbridge on Saturday!  I will post the pictures here if people are still interested?
