That's pretty cool. I'd drive one here in America just to be different. Although I see a lot of El Camino in this which isn't all that bad.

Edit: What's the difference between the SS and the SS-V? The numbers appear the same, is it just the styling that is different?
?Do you expect me to talk?"
"No, Mr Bond. I expect you to die!?

A bit more equipment. 19 inch wheels instead of 18s, leather, and other such additional equipmentry here and there.

Right when I thought it couldn't get any worse better, after the Omega and the SV6 and the SS.... the SS-V makes its triumphant entrance!

Who buys utes? Are they a kind of bogans-only thing, or are they more mainstream?

The Falcon and Commodore utes are more mainstream. It's the only way to get a local two-door V8, and I believe they have demonstrably higher resale value than their sedan counterparts.

Traditionally, of course, bogans with plaid, thongs and beer hang out of ute windows, tie their dogs in the rear tray, and leer at passing womenfolk.

I like it, but in North America they have a "Trailer Park loser sporting a mullet" reputation because of the El Camino.

The El Camino is fantastic! No points to those who ensure such a reputation lives on.

Very cool. Don't think I'd ever buy one though. Not because of the "bogans" thing, just 'cause I want my pickup to see some dirt.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

I'm glad you cleared up for me exactly what type of thongs he was talking about.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Personally, I hate it. The front is fine, but the rest looks terrible to me. Of course, I've never liked that kind of vehicle.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

Champ

My instructor at the track day last weekend had the only one of these in America (that he is aware of), and he took me for a ride in it on the track.  Very interesting car!  Was the SS model.
