Got pulled over for cell phone usage. But there's a twist!

I wasn't on my phone! I didn't even have it in my hand!



Sucks that I have to use a vacation day for this crap but hopefully a bill showing I wasn't on the phone will suffice. In fact, maybe I can just send one in. These guys are crooks

Just sending it in won't work, you'll have to take the detailed bill to court with you. Even that might not work: because just because you weren't using that phone, it doesn't mean you were using any phone, and if the officer says he saw you using one...

Is this a ticket for actual cell phone use or is it for something like "distracted driving?"
