17 hp off an exhaust? He definitely didn't know what he was talking about. Maybe 2-3 hp.

Right. So 250+, then.

I can't figure out how to do it in the BMW either. I think my garage opener has a rolling code.

Mine only gets power from the ignition, that's why I asked.

No with the key out, if I push the HomeLink buttons, the little icon lights up.

I programmed mine as in the instruction manual and it worked fine :praise:
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna

Manual didn't work for the Camry, but TheWizard16 sent me a way he did it on his Camries and it worked perfectly. The Camry's HomeLink is programmed. This one isn't.

I'm assuming there is no way to get it done on a remote w/ a rolling code?

Well, there goes one feature on dad's car gone wasted.

Mine's rolling and the Camry's Homelink connected perfectly.

I tried in the 5er again, today. There is no button on the base motor unit. The thing is ancient, though.

Getting Homelink to work on a rolling code is an involved process.  But it is possible.

I think my garage door opener is from like 1975. No joke. That's probably the reason why it doesn't work.

Yeah, mine's an old fucker. Works like a charm, though. Next time the springs go (happens fairly often), on the tracks for the door, my dad plans on replacing the whole system.

Bump for the reason of Homelink. My garage door spring broke so we had to reset everything, including both remotes in the Caravan and Intrepid and the Homelink in the Hybrid, and it all worked smoothly. The Camry's Homelink took under 15 seconds to program and I got it on the first try.

I used the same method for the Intrepid's Homelink but it still won't connect. Ahh, screw it. I have an extra remote, I'm going to use it.

Maybe the Trep's HomeLink isn't as universally compatible as your Camry's. It is almost half a decade older.

In fact the system is from an early 300M, so it could be as old as 1998-1999.
