French meteorologists deceide F1 WDC

So the BMW and Williams where running fuel colder then the 10 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature allowed, which supposedly gave them at least a 10hp advantage. Had they been disqualified then Louis Hamilton would have won the WDC intead of Kimi Raikkonen. The reason the  BMWs and Williams where not disqualified is because it was unclear what the official ambient temperature was. Meteo France which provides data to BMW and Williams calculated an ambient tempreture which was 3 deg lower then the numbers used by the F1 stewards.

Mclaren Mercedes is appealing the stewards decision. The claim they do not want to win the WDC at the green table. They want "clarification" on why illegal cars where not disqualified.



Imo I do not think BMW and Williams cheated this would have been to obvious. They should just get rid of the ridicules fuel temperature rule. Let the teams load frozen fuel if they want to, after all some street cars on the market today us the AC to cool the fuel. The FIA did ignore regulations though by not disqualifying the Williams and the BMWs, this arguing over what the ambient temperature is obviously a convenient excuse. IF the FIA does disqualify three cars to hand the WDC to Louis then many people will be done watching F1 though.
