I'm not really that skilled at bargaining. The seller told me he could see that I would take good care of it, so he didn't mind knocking the price down. Like I said, he was a nice guy.

And unless something really wrong happens to it, you better damn well take care of it.

Wow!  Nick, you pulled the trigger.  Niiiiccee!  You've got yourself one hell of a sexy uber-wagen right now.  Prepare to have to beat the ladies back with a bat!  Since your 100 mile journey went fairly smoothly, that's a good sign.  About the heater fan, did it die outright?  If so, probably a fuse.  If it faded gradually, you might have an automatic system that kicks the fan down to almost off once the chosen temp is attained.  I thought my A6 was wacked when I first got it.  Then I realized it turns the fan down automatically as it warms up.  Well, good luck with this.  I'm jealous knowing you got this for basically 45 days of payments on my A4.  I could justify some big repair bills on that car and still come out waaayyyy ahead.  Wanna make a deal??

Even worse - it's Windy.  My girls named him Donnerwind when he was born, or Thunder Wind in German.  Sounds good until they shortened the poor bastard's name to Windy. Like Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue" - Windy should grow up to kick ass!

They're a ton of fun.  I justified buying it when I needed to expand my septic leaching field.  Either pay some dude ten grand to do it, or pick up a tractor, do it yourself, and have it forever.  It's amazing how many things you find you need a tractor for!  Snow removal has never been more fun.

People make all kinds of decisions based on bad information that they beleive to be absolutely, irrefutably true.

But, putting regular in the Audi probably won't hurt it.
