That guy removed the first muffler, but I think removing the second muffler would be better.

No, it should be a conventional key.  The car is older than you, after all.  :tounge:

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

It sounds like this car's element is in the corners from what I've read so far.  Still, it's kinda heavy.  Did the A6 or A8 replace it?

Also, looking at the $47k price in 1990, it would cost almost $74,000 in today money.  That's why depreciation is awesome!

The V8 quattro and the 5000 are different. The 5000/100 was the predecessor to the A6, and the V8 quattro was the predecessor to the A8.

But for Nick's sake, it was the predecessor to the R8.

Try adjusting the speakers to see if any sound comes out of the fronts.

I can't find the buttons for fade/balance. It still sounds great, though.

I had a 5.1 surround sound system that had a broken speaker.  It sounded amazing, but I'd still try to see what was up with it eventually.
