A video of a WA police car doing burnouts in the bush has sparked a police investigation to find the hoon who was driving.

The video, posted on YouTube yesterday, shows a police patrol car with sirens blaring doing donuts in a  paddock while onlookers, including a child, laugh and take pictures.

After tearing up the dirt, the police car number FG101 speeds past onlookers towards a house in the distance.

WA Police say they are unable to immediately uncover who the driver was because the numbers on the vehicle are now registered to a police four-wheel-drive.

Inspector Peter Hatch, manager of Police Media, promised to get to the bottom of the incident.

He said: "WA Police have recently become aware of the video and have commenced an inquiry into the matter.

" Whilst police are yet to establish the full set of circumstances surrounding the manner of driving, it is believed that the incident is at least six months old and could have occurred up to 4 years ago."

The video, titled "Good Aussie Cops: police officers in action'', which appears to have been filmed in the country, goes for 40 seconds.

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who was involved in this incident.

But it doesn't seem like that big a deal to me.
A good friend will come bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, DAMN...that was fun!

Oh noes! A police officer was having a bit of fun!

Pancor

The dealership I worked at in high school serviced cops cars.  I smoked the tires on one...

TurboDan

I wonder how much of the taxpayers' money is being used to investigate this dumb incident.  Simply pathetic!

Throw the book at him!  I want a license suspension, traffic school, revocation of his kangaroo hunting license, and I want him on bicycle patrol.
