I've always thought the Passat has had an amazing interior.  Unless they really messed up, I see no reason to change that opinion.

No, it's still very sweet. The hinged compartments open with such an exquisite dampened motion that you just want to open and shut them again and again. My brain was overloaded with haptic pleasure when I sat in one.
