I want a NEW Focus!

280Z Turbo

I just saw this short new Focus review on Fifth gear and now I'm insanely jealous. Our '08 Focus has become too Americanized and ugly. The razor blade grille and lack of hatches makes me sad.

Wow one looks so tacky and the other looks so crisp...

When i saw the thread i though you wanted a new(u.s.) focus.

I thought you were going soft or something.

Anyway whats new, euro model rocks u.s. model etc etc etc.

Its funny how we americans think we are at the top of the totem(sp) pole when it comes to car enthusiasts.

Their new model got another facelift while we still have the super fugly old version???

I honestly wonder what goes on during their board meetings.

Check out the Fifth Gear clip.

They seemed to like it.

Interesting how they call it a "family hatchback". Here in the US, it would be too "small" for a family car.

Top Gear liked the Focus ST as well.  But I do believe they'd take the GTI over it.  Evo liked the Focus ST too.  But again, in a comparison with the GTI, it lost out.

The T5 gets pretty bad gas mileage, too.

The T5 has the Five-Cylinder, the largest engine available in the focus range.

The GTI is a little more expensive than the Focus ST, about 2K GBP according to the UK websites (base prices).  But, despite being down on power, it's quicker to 60 and it handles better.

The T5 (the same as the Volvo T5, I believe) is the engine in the Focus ST.  Thanks for saying what I just said.  T is for turbo, 5 is for 5.

Have you even driven a new one?  I have and I came away very impressed.  Except for the asthmatic engine, the US Focus is a very good car.  In fact it's a very very good car.

It may be, but it looks like shit, particularly when placed next to it's European counterpart.

Yep, even my 2002 is STILL better than a 2008 Cobalt in nearly every way.

2000-2004 Focus FTW. The 2000-2004 US spec version is not quite as good looking (or as well-built) as the European version, but it's the least corrupted Focus there is.

sO, mR.280Z. Since you want the Euro Focus, why not look at the Volvo C30?

I hate the look of the Mazda 3. It looks like a minivan.

The C1 Focus looks better.

Wait, which one is the C1? if your talking abou the orange focus pictured then yes it looks fantastic.

The 3 does not look like a minivan, and is better looking than ANY focus that ever hit our shores.
