I would have a say that safety standards had their toll on the size of the GT-R. Those pictures just make me like the looks of the R32 and  KPGC10 even more.

For reference:

They just stretched out the bit around the new GTR.  Look at the top picture - the hash marks next to the new GTR look further apart than the ones by the R34, they should be closer because of the perspectivve.

Why I don't know.

They are close together. The ones by the R34 go off the side of the picture, while the marks by the new one have a bit of space between the edge of the picture.

We are all surprised that a car designed with the American market in mind was made larger than its predecessors?

Has anyone ever seen Frisky Dingo? It's a good show, I thinkl.

The R35 does look significantly bigger than the R34.  I think I like the 34 better right now.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

I say buy the 35 now and wait till the 36 comes out. Then you will finally be in love with your 35 and have it waiting for you in the garage.

...Or wait until the old cars can be had cheap and have fun with a motor that can handle more than 480 wheel horsepower.

That's what they all say. Do you have a 34 now? No. You drive a lesbo-mobile. So why don't you go find somebody you can scissor with.

Laz, I'll hopefully be in Florida next month.  Can I scissor with you?

As for the GT-R, I don't have one, obviously, but assuming that I am sharing an apartment with a person who just picked up an E30 M3 after he sold his TT Supra and he wants an R33, I'd say there's a chance I'll get to play with one at some point or another.

Jeez, guys, why not just posted some numbers???

GT-R:     L=183, W=75, H=54

Mustang:  L=188, W=74, H=55

Camry:    L=189, W=72, H=58

M3:       L=182, W=72, H=56

Doesn't sound all that big to me.

Well, we are mainly relating it to the R34. Got the numbers for that car?

Neither do I. Glad the feeling was mutual. I almost felt pressured there.

Also have the R33...

It's wider, but length and height are more or less the same

GT-R:   L=183, W=75, H=54
R34:    L=181, W=70, H=54
R33:    L=184, W=70, H=54

(All these (and those above) are rounded to the nearest inch.)

the Teuton

How is the 33 so much wider than the 34?

I read in a review that it is roughly the same size as the GT500, and GoCougs numbers prove it.

Isn't the GT500 pushing 4000lbs?

I thought i remember reading that somewhere.

The R34 may have gotten slimmer to fit a different tax bracket in Japan.

C&D tested the GT500 at 3896lbs.

I find it odd that the GT-R is the same size as a GT500, is saddled with AWD and turbo's and still weighs less than the GT500. What did ford do to that poor mustang.

nickdrinkwater

The Mustang is massive.  If the GT-R was that big I'd be disappointed.
