CALL_911

Ok, so the Avalon is gone. My sister now needs a new car. Budget is ~$20K, and would prefer a used entry-level sports sedan (I guess?)

So far, we have considered the following:
-'05 Acura TSX (most likely)
-G35x (not likely at all)
-B6 A4 1.8T quattro

Please suggest more, and list the prices.

Lexus IS300?

Oh yeah, we're considering that too. But they aren't easy to find.

That, and she's hung up over RWD and snow. It's a load of BS, and don't even begin to tell me about it. I've tried convincing her, and no can do. Same thing with MT.

Saab 9-3 or 9-5?

I'd take a TSX over one. That, and they would probably be a PITA to fix if something goes wrong.

But they're just chevy malibus with better interiors and suspentions. The 4cyls are just turboed versions of the classic GM ECOTECs used in all GM products.

Volvo S40?

Oooh, I overlooked that one. Nice suggestion, thanks.

Volvo S40?

Using that same logic, the S40 is just a Mazda3 with a different interior (I wouldn't even say better), a worse suspension, and an extra cylinder.

The S40 is a bit more luxuriant.

But would an Upper Level Mazda 3 work?

VW Jetta?

Thought about it.
TSX>Jetta.

But I don't think I would say the same for the GLI.

Have you been in one? (the S40) I don't know about NVH, but I do know that the S40's interior feels and looks cheap in person.

And, the 9-3 is a ton sportier, and more luxurious, than the Malibu was.

Are you trying to tell me that the Mazda3 only has zero cylinders? :nutty:

The TSX is probably a good choice for what she seems to be looking for. Much more so than an IS300.

I'm also assuming that it will be quite reliable, right?

Besides the TSX and the S40, there really isn't much to choose from.

No offense, but there is no way she would EVER drive a Cadillac.
