No offense, but there is no way she would EVER drive a Cadillac.

Then she is not a person worth helping with decisions.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

There's no sense in spending Cadillac money on someone who won't really like the car.

Because they are ~$20k and those are cool. Too bad she wants auto only.

Not liking a car is one thing: but to refuse to ever even think about trying a car because of the name on it is quite another.

Close minded people have usually made their decision already and are just waiting for someone else to suggest what they've already thought of.

It's not only that. She thinks the CTS is ass-ugly.

Edit: Stupid on my part to not say that from the get-go.

Not what you said: you said that she would never even think of driving a cadillac.

You could have said Honda or Dodge or Lancia or Kleinschnittger, my opinion of the statement would have been the same.

I certainly agree. But I don't think your reaction would have changed had she driven the car and still said she wouldn't want a Cadillac, and there really is no point in spending such an amount of money on a car (or anything else) someone wouldn't absolutely adore.

My aunt drives an Audi S4. She clearly spent a lot on it, and she could care less what she drives. She doesn't "adore" it.

Yes, my opinion would have changed, and there's no need to spend a mint on one either, as Vin has already pointed out.

It's pretty similar to me whether someone rejects a car because of a silly reason before or after agreeing to drive the car. In fact, rejecting a car you DO like for a bad reason might even be worse.

And I wasn't talking about a lot of money compared to other car prices, but more in the notion that any car is a large amount of money. I mean, compare this to crv16's "car for teenage girl" thread.
