I've only ever had experience with that finish in black, but it's not that bad. They get fingerprints on them. You wash them off.

As with all cars it's bound to get scratched and you can't buff it.

Yes you can. Buff it the same way. You can't make it shiny, and swirl marks are invisible.

Really? I didn't think you can buff anything that doesn't have a clearcoat.

Well, you will turn your buffing wheel the same color as the paint is so you can't ever use that wheel on another car, but besides that, yeah.

I started with this and ended up with the semi-shiny car in my sig with buffing and no clearcoat. I used polishing compound.

It's not perfect, but it is better. I had lots and lots of black crap on my buffing cloth.

FlatBlackCaddy

I'd think it would have a clearcoat(or more likely be a single stage urethane paint).

He's talking about an older model, the V8 Quattro. It was a large sedan.

No thank you. I like shiny. Also, what a simply horrid mish-mash body-kit that has been slapped onto that poor Q7.

I agree with Omi - that cladding kit is over the top.  When they clad over the headlights, you know they've gotten a little out of hand!  But that color is very slick!  Can't wait till it becomes more widely available.  I could see this becoming pretty popular - but still a fringe thing.  Like the colors that "travel" on today's cars.

The Audi is furrowing it's eyebrows to let you know it's really mad. Just like Hayden Christensen in Star Wars did to let you know he was mad.
