Hot? or Not? FAW Bentung A501

Over the last year or so, the designs of Chinese made cars on the whole have increased dramatically. Gone are the boxy lines that were more reminessent of 1988, leaving us with some rather modern designs that are easily able to compete on the international stage. The below car, the FAW Bentung A501 is the latest motor to roll out from FAW under the Bentung name.

The A501 was designed by ItalDesign Giugiaro spa. The A501 will be a ?sporty? model, sold at around 100,000rmb. Engine power will come from either a 1.6 self developed motor, or the Mazda sourced 2.0l engine, which was used in the Mazda 6.

I like it. It's Legacy+Audi with a bit of Chevy Epica thrown in. Looks attractive.

i wonder how much was Ital Design and how much was Chinese. it's easy to have decent design when you farm it out to someplace like Ital Design...

It's nicely proportioned but generic.

Oh, I do like that.  Not OMG  hot, but it's mildly attractive.
