BTW, I don't think the Viggen would be much faster. That, and how would you know anything about the gas mileage?

40 more horsepower, comparable weight, and a turbo.  It may not be as quick off the line, but beyond that, the Viggen would have lengths on it.

I was going off of what Raza said. It wasn't good enough for him, as a daily driver.

Oh, and 2.0T's can be tuned to put out that kind of power. Of course, the VW engine has something that Honda 4-cylinders are foreign to. Torque.

That comes from a turbo, not VWs engineering prowess.

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

You know what? I do like it, and I justified why earlier. You continue to be an idiot and insist that I'm picking it because of that propeller badge. If it makes you happy, I'll take an Integra Type-R.
I don't care if you like it and you only like it because of the propeller badge, but it's pretty stupid to go around and suggest to everyone who wants to buy a new car to get a BMW. Aside from the fact that it handles well, which the other two also do, what does it offer over the competition? RWD, and that's all. And you fail to acknowledge that the Viggen and Si are fun to drive as well.
You do love the propeller badge, quite blindly in fact. Given a car that will perform as well as or outperform a BMW, you'd still take the BMW over it. I used to be like that with RWD, but thankfully I'm not so close minded anymore and that opens up a lot more options for me regarding what cars I would like to own.

And the Viggen is a hatchback and looks so much nicer than the E36, but that's my opinion of course.

I never said it was attributed to that. Torque is torque.

VW is lame then because Honda gets as more hp from the same 2.0 liters without a turbo.

Hondas do lack torque but man do those little bandits move

My old Accord would rape my Maxima from here to Sunday and back no problem, top end was crazy

In any case Benz 4 cylinders have been losing ever since BMW dropped the S14 on them

Ah. :ohyeah:

Well, on a side note the 4-cylinder BMW engine in my sister's 118i is noisy and rough compared the current Mercedes 1.8-l Kompressor 4-cylinder meaning the MB engine is more refined. The BMW motor is more responsive though, even with the automatic. It's still a great engine, especially when you drive it hard. The sound is awesome.  :mrcool:
