Cool ish. Generic, but I like the Front facia.

Geely is supposed to be premiering 18 new models at Beijing autoshow.

CALL_911

That is by far, the worst rendering from a manufacturer I have ever seen.

I've noticed that with each new model, Geely changes its logo.  I wonder how long until they just settle on one and go with it.

Toyota does it in japan. The Geely GT may be a special model, thus a new logo. This model and other "regular" models will probably use the new logo designed in that contest.

Or maybe they're just insane.

In other markets, particularly in Asia, its not uncommon to see brands use different logos on different models.  I don't know if they're still doing it, but Nissan and Toyota both had different badges on different models.

The Japanese also enjoy drinking Taro root cola and huffing used panties they bought from vending machines.  Just `cause the Japanese are doing it doesn't mean its a good idea.

There was also a time when many of the domestic makes also used multiple logos-  I think Ford was probably one of the more egregious.  The Granada, Thunderbird, LTD, and their truck division each had their own specialty "marque" identifier.  Once again, I reiterate- its a stupid idea.

Corvette and Mustang each have unique badging.  Neither has their parent companies' normal logo (there is no bow-tie on the current Vette and no blue oval on the Stang).

In most of the world the Corvette isn't even considered a Chevy.  It's sold abroad through Cadillac dealers simply as, "Corvette."  Half of all USians are overweight, and more than half believe in The Rapture.  Just because the US does something doesn't mean its a good idea.   :tounge:

I don't know that the Corvette has ever had a bow-tie on it, nor a Chevrolet badge other than the wording "Chevrolet Motor Division" around the circumference of the Corvette logo- in letters less than 1/4 of an inch tall too
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Or maybe they're having trouble finding a logo thats neither stolen nor ungodly ugly?

If you have nothing relevent to the topic, stay out of the thread.

Geely is a young brand. I don't know exactly how young, but I don't think it would be a bad idea, as a strategy, to use different badges on different cars in the early years, take the badge which was on the best selling car after a period of time, and apply it to all your cars. But I'm no marketing expert, maybe that's image suicide .
And I have to agree with CALL_911. Looks aside, this is an awful, awful CGI of a car. I could probably have done better with Windows painting and a day or two.

Actually:

So it is in there they just make it hard you you to see it  Like that you wouldn't confuse it with the other crap they've made until recently.

Looks Great as a wagon......looks terrible jacked up in the air.

Its a sad day when Geely has stooped so low as to photoshop its own drawings.
