If I ever get around to inviting you all over for cupcakes, I'll try to arrange a GT-R purchase in which you can all zip about.

Why that would be lovely!

Then I'll steal it and put it on a canoe and paddle back to California! :evildude:

R32's don't weigh 3800 lbs. :nono:
However, I'd imagine the canoe's weight distribution being pretty poor with a GT-R on it. :tounge:

As I said, the head of Radical would disagree.  He called someone out in Evo over a letter that was written discrediting the Radical as a road car.  He drives his to work.

One nut who has to, just so he can say stuff like that in magazines.

Besides, OF COURSE the HEAD of Radical is going to defend his car, but we don't have to believe him!

I could drive a pink unicycle to work everyday. That doesn't make the little pony a "road car."

You don't really "drive" unicycles, you mostly "ride" them to work.
I once had a pink unicycle until I was kicked off it, had the crap beaten out of me and had it stolen.....all by a 6th grade girl.

It's road legal and he drives it to work.  I don't know how you could make it more a road car.

Looks like Nissan already achieved their 7:25 goal.

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/08/nissan-gt-r-v-spec-lap-times-stun-observers/

"The prototype Nissan GT-R V-Spec, wearing the "Victory Specification" designation reserved for the ultra high-performance Nissan GT-R, has been caught lapping the famed N?rburgring at an incredible, if not simply unbelievable, 7:25 per lap. This, according to bystanders trackside. (For comparison, Walter R?hrl lapped the Ring in 7:28 while driving a Porsche Carrera GT in 2004.)

In contrast to the standard Nissan GT-R, that made the run around the 'Ring in 7:38, the GT-R V-Spec has a new front splitter, modified rear spoiler, and different wheels. A more extensive use of carbon fiber has reportedly reduced the weight by upwards of 330 pounds. Of course, Nissan engineers also tweaked the twin-turbo powerplant for another 70 horses... or so. Thanks for the tip, XeroK00L!"

Technically, you're right.  But, really, you're not.  The chassis code was dubbed R35 instead of V36 to keep with the GT-R nomenclature.

yea I used to think that back when they had the V35. They also changed the name of the 3.8L motor to VR instead of VQ. It's kind of confusing since they have the V36 now...

How much more hp can Nissan get out of that engine? The ZR1 is gonna have its hands full (around a track) with either GT-R.

My guess is 600HP before warranty/stock durability issues come into play.

No way. Keep in mind it is making this power with the stock exhaust which is a big bottleneck on turbo cars. Plus the regular GT-R is prob. really making 550HP to the wheels, so the V-spec will be at about 600HP.

Just by going to a free-flowing exhaust, an open element intake and upgraded intercoolers I could see this making 650-700HP @ the crank in the regular GT-R; though it's possible that like the S2000 this motor basically comes with all the power you can get out of it from the factory (w/o additional forced induction i.e. bigger turbos etc).
