$100?! The hell?!

So the little replacement connector that is supposed to fix my ever-present high idle problem (as described in the thread about it) costed me $98.98! It's just a little connector with some wires. I could practically make one. I'm pretty annoyed, and I'm thinking of returning it and find a cheaper solution. Why would a connector cost that much?

Those pre-molded connectors aren't cheap.

One solution would be to cut it off completely and use butt connectors, but long term that wouldn't be wise.  Best just to go with the connector.

The part is a replacement for a part that Ford fucked up when they designed it, so no junkyard. Also, welcome back NACar.

The question is not why does it cost $100, but why did you actually buy it for $100 :P

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

It's necessary, dude. I saw one online for $70 or $80, but by then, who cares. Also, I needed it by this weekend.

I suppose it wouldn't have been possible or advisable to just forgo the connector and solder the damned thing together, would it?
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Where did I say that?  I just offered it as an alternate solution.  I still think getting the connector is the best way to go.
