I've just checked www.auto-wilde.de http://www.auto-wilde.de/index.php?id=8&L=0&listtype=detail&dbid=1648992515, which is probably the largest german car-importeur (they buy cars in the EU-countries where cars are cheaper and sell them in germany for a higher price, that's still below the german) to see what's new on their list. And saw THIS! I can't believe my eyes. As you know this is a piece of crap. But Brilliance whanted to sell this for 20k?, where you also get Passats (rebate included) or Sonatas.

And now 8999???? That changes everything. For this price, there's a market for this shitbox!

(btw: this doesn't seem to be a reimported one, but a car that was probably bought en masse and officially registrered once, to get a mass-rebate!)

EDIT: Whoaaaa!!!! I've just realized the registration date is 1.5.07 . If this is not a fake those must be the cars from the official importer who got scared because of the lousy crash test results!!!

Can't you get a Dacia Logan for far less than 9000 Euros?

The Dacia Logan is based on the Renault Clio which is a Polo competitor. So this one's comparable to a Polo sedan. The BS6 is a Passat competitor.

I would never ever buy one anyways. I was just surprised. They wanted to get rid of these cars for 20k? (which is ridiculous!) and now they want 9000??

The BS6, If I'm right is Brillence's first attempt at making a car. It failed crash tests, and is slow. (Car in the site) The Smaller BS4 is supposadly made better, looks better, and preforms better. If it's of any worth to you, the BS4 did actually decent in a crash test, the same one The BS6 and the Chery Amulet failed.

This deathtrap is actually allowed to be sold in Europe?  Does Brilliance even have a dealer network in Germany?  Where would you get parts and service?  Who would you sue when you get lead poisoning from the interior materials?

Even at a selling price of only ?8,999 in sure they're making money.  It probably only cost them ?300 to build the damn car in the first place!

Nope, they don't have a dealer network and it will probably take a few years until you get a proper service here.

When I was in China I had the feeling even the Chinese didn't want to buy these cars. Those who can afford drive VW or Audi, those who can't drive Hyundai... And only those who even can't afford that drive chinese cars, but mostly smaller ones. There were hardly any BS6s or similar large Chinese cars.
