Go to back out of my buddies driveway today in the RSX and the CEL catches my eye....

Plug my scan tool in at home "P0134 - o2 no activity detected". Yay!!!

I thought it was running a little weird this week, used more gas on the last fill up than usual as well.

Of course its gotta be a wideband AF sensor too right? $250 is looking like the cheapest for a direct fit replacement right now, ugh...

Meh, I'm not all that upset about it. I kinda figured thats what it was as soon as the light popped on. Its a popular failure on the RSX. Maybe it would help if Honda didn't have the thing run so damn rich at high rpms, but I digress.

The real pain will be driving it like a civil person until I can get the new one in there.

What exactly does one call the part that, uh, rusted through?  Is that part of the frame, or what?  :mask:

Yep. The lower control arm tore its re-enforced mounting plate free of the unit body.

So he's getting a new car, I take it.

What model of car is it?

He's already pulled out his stereo crap...

I wouldn't put it past his dad if he might try to repair that. It would be about as proper a repair as you could get, but...

That's one expensive 0? sensor.

Yeah, no shit. Its a fancy wideband one though. $230 was the cheapest possible for a new OEM one, but the dealer had it in stock and I wanted to change it out today so....

New one is in. Had to reconnect the scan-tool to clear the code, but just drove around for 30min and its still off... Engine seems to be running a little smoother as well.

Nope. It could probably move under its own power if the driveshaft hadn't pulled out on the drivers side. Open diff = car goes no where now.
