I'll say this for the X1 it looks better then the X3.

sportyaccordy

You know, I walked into a BMW dealer and test drove an X3

I said, 'wow this is exactly what I want. It's just... it's about 4% too big, and it doesn't have the look of a Chinese knockoff. I'm gonna have to pass'

Now I get everything I want. It's awesome.

I am anxiously awaiting the flurry of three letter acronyms to define this new segment that was just busted.

Has anyone let BMW know their cars are ugly these days? Someone really needs to tell them.

Looks pretty cool, but what's the point? What's next? An X7?

They took everything I hated about the X3 and made it worse.  I didn't think that was possible.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

Apparently this is not going to be released to the NA market. It might make more sense in Europe where size and prestige are not joined at the hip. Still, it's a stupid car.

  :banghead:

I think it looks pretty damn good and considering how well Tiguan and competitors sell I think this will be a success.

I wouldn't want to drive a SUV though...

Looks like a 1 Series hatchback that's gone on an eating binge.  I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either.  So, what exactly is the point of having both the X1 and the X3 on the same showroom floor canaballising sales from each other?  The X1 can't be much smaller than an X3, can it?

Cheers,

BMW shelved plans for an X7 when oil prices went through the roof.  It was to be a Merc GL Class rival.  Instead, BMW sped-up development of the X1.  Gotta cover every niche, sub-niche and sub-sub-niche these days, right?

Mind you, I wear my BMW hat a lot, so what does that say about me?

I left my Subaru hat at home accidentally, and I don't wear my Toyota hat.  I have no idea where the Boxster hat is, either.
