11,203 miles/year average

Bought the car in February 2005 with 144k on the clock.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

The Avalanche had ~74,000mi on it when I bought it last February.  Now it's got 76k and change, most of that accrued over a couple of fishing trips.

The 335i had 0 miles on it when I received it in Jan 2007.  It now has a little over 13k.

The Buell had 10 miles on it when I bought it in Feb 2006.  It now has a little less than 14k.

The Fairlane had I think ~130k when I bought it in the spring of 1997.  At 133k it got a new engine.  It now has ~175k, including cross-country road trips.

dazzleman

I bought my car new in March 2006 and I have about 21,000 miles on it.

Camaro - 175k? I'm not sure.

El Camino - Could be 78k, could be 178k, could be 278k. Don't know. Heck, the reading might be totally wrong. So who knows.

About 190K on the Accord. You can feel the chassis flex over bumps, it kind of sucks.

I don't know how much the motor has, but it's healthy.

Secret Chimp

98.5k, bought with 84 or 86k, I can't remember.

My brother's Saturn SL2 is really flexible and loose too. I'm tempted to tighten the suspension and reinforce the chassis and see his reaction when he comes home from college and his car is no longer a land yacht.

(maybe a V8 swap too? I've got one sitting in my garage. )

LOL, I doubt he would notice. I bet bushings would make a huge difference.

I want to ditch my sub and get the rear 4 pt strut tower brace...

1999 Buick Century:  73,000 miles.  Was 67,000 when we bought it for our son two years ago.  Actually owned by a little old lady who put about 8,500 miles on it each year and had it serviced by the book at the local Buick dealership.

2006 Mazda 3:  32 months old, 49,000 miles.

The A6 was purchased 11 months ago with 4,000 miles.  I'm now cruising with 28,000, so I'm hitting my average of around 26,000 miles per year.  That's been fairly standard for me for the past 15 years.  The Expedition is at around 72,000, with my wife cruising 20,000 a year.  We bought it with about 24,000 miles in June of '06.  Between the two cars, I'm torching up around 2,500 gallons of gas every year.  When gas dropped from $4 to $3/gal, it saves me around $200/month.  Come to think of it, my business has 10 vehicles on the road all hitting around 20,000 mi/yr, so I'm "saving" around a grand each month.  More like I was getting porked for a grand a month over the summer, but either way, it feels a little better now.

Ron, do you write off your mileage/depreciation as a business expense for your Audi?  And how much loss did you take on that thing when you traded in the last one with such high mileage?
