The Fiesta sedan will likely be the strongest seller of the Fiesta range in the US. The US will probably not get the 3-door.

Is this car even coming to the US?

It will need a V8.  :wtf:

Yes........ford confirmed it. Ford currently has no B-segment vehicle and is missing out on a sizable market.

the Teuton

They took the worst elements from the US Focus and the Fiesta and made them all into one ugly car.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

It's a pudgy little bastard...isn't it?

Even still, it's eons ahead of the vomit inducing Yaris.

Is it just me or does it look just like the Focus from the A-pillars back?

It's not JUST for the Chinese market...........it's for anywhere where small sedans typically do better than small hatches. This includes South America, the US and the Chinese Market. Sedans are viewed as "more expensive" and more luxurious than their hatch counterparts.

That beltline is horrible.

I have to agree, on that small of a car, it looks much too rakish.

Ugh, what the hell?  It looks jacked up, huge, and just generally ugly.

The real tragedy is that if this doesn't meet sales expectations, it'll be just another case supporting the idea that American's don't want overseas Ford/GM cars.

Incidentally, the biggest thing this car has going for it is the shitty economy. People who still want and can buy new cars are going to go for something economical.

Well, at least it doesn't have those awful horizontal chrome bars on the nose like the US Fiesta sedan allegedly will have.  But I still don't like it.  I want to see the US market Fiesta hatch, just to make sure they don't screw it up for America.

Cheers,

The rear haunches look awful.  Way too much fender metal over the rear tires and the trunk is pointlessly stubby.  They should have left this one as a hatch.

Most hatchbacks that get turned into sedans end up looking odd.

If you squint REALLY hard it could resemble a Mondeo.

REALLY hard.

USA_Idol

Personally, I think the 5-door hatch is the best-looking version of the Fiesta.  Hell, Fiesta...along with Kia Soul...may just be the best-looking subcompacts the entire US market will offer.  I'd certainly consider buying either one.

nickdrinkwater

Just saw my first new Fiesta a few mins ago, a 5dr.  Wasn't anything special.  Maybe people are getting excited because they have such low expectations when it comes to Ford, and the Fiesta actually looks solid?

CJ

This looks EXACTLY like the Verve.  I really like it.
