Overfill ATF?

Hey guys-

Is it a bad thing if I slightly overfilled my transmission? I was low on it and put about a half quart in and now I think I might have put just a little too much....

Also- it feels like the car is shifting smoother. Is this possible or am I imagining things?

No advice can be worse than Coug's, in any thread, ever.

Yes, new trans fluid will always feel smoother if your car has more than 90k on it or so.
Also if it wasn't more than a half pint or something it's probably OK.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Thats what I figured - I know that adding too much engine oil can cause frothy oil from the crankshaft shipping the oil but I had no idea if the same would hold true for ATF

Thanks man

If you were low and added 1/2 a pint you're probably fine.  If you'd added a quart or more then I'd be concerned.
