Grooved tires that is.

Yeah, I've decided on Yokohama Advan S.4s to replace these pieces of shit, but I've yet to get off my ass and get them on the car.

Strangely enough they seem to be working better this way.

Yeah, yeah, I know, dangerous, etc... New ones are coming.

They were always horrible in the rain. I wasn't kidding when I said that there really isn't a discernible difference compared to when they still had tread.

I'll probably get the new tires next week, and then just have to get them mounted.

Let me know how the Advans work out.  I'm thinking about getting them for my car as well, as my Michelins are garbage.

Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I've driven much much worse than that.  :-)

really those tires would work much better on perfectly dry, clean pavement than 'treaded' tires would. BUT, any dirt or moisture will make them SUK..

That's not necessarily true. While you will have greater contact area, the rubber compound used at the point in the tire is probably not as good as the treaded part.
